Chapter Sixty Six: Existential Questions
There were five Questions submitted. Only five.
It came as a surprise, and the submission remains ridiculously odd, especially from the point of view of the General Fellowship.
While the Potioneers contest in the strongest possible rhetoric everything that surrounds this particular Question Selection in the beginning, they had been mysteriously reluctant to push the objection any further.
It seems as though that the Prudence War will push through as it was originally plotted, and the Steel of Willows will be ultimately tested by the fates without any of the anticipated measurable opposition.
Destiny will clearly unfold, as it should be.
But the circumstances surrounding the Games did not justify any of the means that has conveniently presented itself. As it was an extremely challenging journey to the path of good fortune, for sure, and while the divine right is fairly sought for the settlement of queries, there seems to be a deeply defined flaw within the inner meaning of the procedure involved.
It is directed to the senses. To the materials. To the imagination.
The other four Questions submitted did not remain rooted in logic, and in achieving prosperity in the general sense. It was very evident in the way they were articulated and it cannot be purposefully denied. It was a parting sale of thoughts, and in the wider interpretation of things, in so far as the nature of deception is deeply contemplated as it is the truth, the Questions clearly probe the parameters of those who are called to existence.
It was a telling question. It was as if it Transfigure itself into something that is unbiased and better accommodated. By the mind it transcends reason, and by matter it was a wish come true.
The Question about the legitimacy of the Steel of Willows has been elected without any other incident. It was easily settled and sealed, once and for all.
It was totally unexpected, and the Potioneers are indeed being deprived of their opportunity. Something secret or sinister is happening, but no one is very certain at this point.
There has to be an explanation. Someone must say something. To speak. To oppose.
But the Fellowship did not even notice.
Not even the Commissioner of Games could believe his eyes as the circumstances unfold, as the victorious Question finally emerged from the Untarnished Cup.
It was there written: Let the Legitimacy of the Steel of Willows Be Known for the Fates to Consider from the Constellation of the Stars.
There are only two persons who are cognizant that the Magicians are here, though they were hidden from plain sight by the power of illusion.
However, the actual Transfiguration of the Illusory Effects are not at all part of the discussion of the plan. But why else could they have done it?
It was there. It absolutely exists. It is no longer an illusion, but very real. Except that no one seems to care.
Fear suddenly descends. They no longer know what is happening. The future is full of uncertainty at this point.
