Chapter Thirty Three: The Unfairness of the Unseen Sandals
The much awaited Prudence Wars is about to take place. It is the glorious culmination of another year, a time to celebrate the Most Prudent Treaty Organization's faith in those who consistently pursue the best of their talents that becomes the optimal reason of their true being.
However, no matter how fair the Purple Junket can be on the outside, there are quite a number of cases that it can be said, truly, of its unfairness on the inside. To those few who knew of this secret, be that as warriors, audience, or relatives, this injustice is similar to a pair of sandals that needed to be dusted off in the middle of the uncertainty of the journey, to leave what was brought in during the battle, and to allow for those who failed to fall to the ground in order to silently grow again like a sturdy tree.
They say that this sacred ground is the heaven of those many lives that have fallen and perished, which symbolizes the fact that all created things are meant to fall back into the dirt, for the organic matter to decompose in order to be broken down to its original material, as much as the objects and non-living things turn back into ashes once a burning fiery substance totally consumes its own material composition in a manner of its own predestined design.
Everything goes back to its original form, just as God created it from the very beginning. The Creator and the created simply binds together in a divine union that the particles of grace had afforded them to reach a common destiny, and the all important matter of being alive, being touched by love through the manner of divine favor, unperturbed by evil, and linked back altogether by the ultimate saving power of the cross.
But of course, other forms of belief may hold different accounts of the same thing, but the absolute truth never changes. Love is neither created nor destroyed. It is the only thing left when everything becomes rotten or burned. It is this divine material that allows us to experience reality, and appreciate all the things that make us alive, which then creates the fondest memories (the caress of longing). It then goes to show that the physiology of a man is as important as his soul; it is the power of love that ultimately binds them together, totally inseparable. It is the body that feels joy and suffering; it is the soul that seeks the goodness of God.
One cannot exist without the other. That is very true, as well. Any random person must be certain of this.
This journey called life must continue with resilience in as much as the ways of the physical world dictates the tempo of life. Just like any other competent storytelling, someone must take this treacherous road, in whatever place he may found himself existing on a predetermined path, to battle the evil that he encounters, and then view his life from the perspective of the importance of this precious road being taken. It is all about this compulsory pilgrimage taken together, to be experienced with someone as romantic love, or a deep personal connection like family or friends.
And in a long path, one must wear his own pair of sandals. Maybe this is not seen all the time, but it is always worn despite how desperate the conditions are far ahead.
These sandals are the only mute witnesses to the unfairness (and the beauty) of the road taken unwillingly; it is a way of its corroboration when they were dusted off, completely aware of the unfairness of life and death. It is a gesture of new beginnings, as well as the acknowledgment of the perfect experiential property of the crucial moments in life (good or evil), that we must acknowledge, no matter how painful or joyful it is, by a new pair of carefully dusted sandals, as instructed by divine motivation.
By then, the ultimate reason of the perilous journey has come to materialize. The unseen sandals are now clean, and the new journey awaits. The world never waits for anybody; for the many, this duality endures the uncommon paradox.
It is time to move on.
