Chapter Thirty Two: The Dream Crushers

"The Group selection is coming to an end?" he asked a very capable Potioneer, who was his appointed guardian immediately after his tenure from the Most Prudent Treaty Organization had concluded. "I have a bad feeling about this edition of the Purple Junket, almost a bad omen."

"Yes, three Members have already been appointed as we speak," the loyal Potioneer Guard said. "The signs of the times are rather culminating to its most surprising end. I also feel it, Your Excellency."

"You are not wrong, Albertus," Federe Amos said. "Not this time, no. Something even more perilous is about to happen."

"And you are not inclined to give your wisdom to the Commissioner of Games, Your Excellency? Tell them about the stars?" Albertus Fortius said with a stern look of concern.

"I have already accepted my fate, you know that, Albertus," Federe has said with a weak smile. "I have no intention of breaking the spell that tightly binds me to the secret and put me in the direct mercy of the Dream Crushers."

"After all these years, you are still listening to the whispers of these Lawful Destroyers? You are way too powerful than these wicked intruders."

"As I have told you before, my bittersweet fate is out of my hands. I am sitting here awaiting nothing but my own death. But I feel inside me that these evil creatures who are calling themselves Dream Destroyers must invade the passion of dreams to regulate the highway of those who dare to thread in the intricacies of the human mind," Federe said.

"It will still be treated as Treason at this point, Your Excellency? Up until now?"

"If you want to gain understanding, you should know how to listen to the wind, know its most secretive secrets, develop a sense of wonder and death. I think you have these qualities, Albertus. You are too qualified for this job. You deserve to be out there, putting your talent to a much greater use."

Albertus Fortius himself did not know how to respond to that statenent. Nobody has truly appreciated his talents before, and it feels so good coming from a former President of the Most Prudent Treaty Organization that the quality of his thoughts speaks volumes of his competence.

"You are very generous for these overly kind remarks, Your Excellency," Albertus said. "But what will happen to this world if the Dream Crushers had their own selfish ways in order to destroy the source of dreams, the channel of these important crossings?"

"And destroy these feudal lands? Of course, no, no. That will not happen at all. That is not their most solemn intention," Federe said, laughing at the dark insinuation.

"Then, Your Excellency, what is the motivation to attack these lands?"
