Chapter Twenty One: Group Selection Part I
The moment has arrived, and the relevant questionnaires were handed to the potential jurors who would be sitting in the Group of Seven. Prior to this, the Potioneers and the Dark Masters have selected their own Accredited Team Captains, who, according to the Standing Rules, are responsible for the selection of an impartial Group of Seven.
The side of the Dark Masters are very busy huddling as the first set of potential jurors made their way into the Hall of Weston's Triune Room. The first twelve of them took their seats, and readied themselves to answer the questions from the Dark Master Team Captain.
As the host of this edition of the Prudence Wars, the Dark Masters have the privilege to ask the first questions in order to filter the potential pool of jurors from which the members of the elite Group of Seven will ultimately be chosen.
The Accredited Team Captain for the Dark Masters, Guilder Spoors, approached the Selection Box to begin his inquiry.
"As a previous winner of the Prudence Wars, do you agree that the Major Contest should be decided based on pure combatant talent? Please show hands if you do agree with this statement."
Seven persons raised their right hand.
"Thank you very much, indeed," Guilder acknowledged the response of the first twelve. He continued with his questioning.
"Now, do you agree that the Prudence Wars should be decided based on strategic considerations and should not solely about combat skills? Please show hands if you agree."
There are six potential jurors who raised their hands to show their agreement.
"Right, thank you for your cooperation. And do you think that the role of the Sinister Agent is an indispensable part for the victory in the Major Contest for the Purple Junket? Please raise your hands if you agree."
All of them showed hands.
The Team Captain was busy staring at their faces while he was asking the question, looking for any sign of bias. He continued.
"Do you think that you fairly won the Prudence Wars during your time, considering the circumstances surrounding your victory at the time that you were declared the winner? Please show hands if this is the case."
Ten of the potential jurors indicated their assent.
"And is there anybody of you who truly believe that luck plays most of the role in winning the Prudence Wars? Please indicate your agreement in the same manner."
All of the twelve showed hands.
