Chapter Twenty: Deal with a Mage

"I have told you before. It was you who were chosen. Even the stars are in agreement with this proposition. There is no lie, indeed."

"But I simply cannot."

"You can definitely do it, your unique abilities are a testament to the fact, and because of this, you must oblige. There is no other way for our triumph."

"But how can the stars should know about the future? If we accept this fact to be true, then it is not right for all the parties involved in the circumstances, and absolutely unfair. There must be another way to settle the question."

"I am afraid that there is none. Help us, and we will help you stop this evil ploy. Consider that a mutual relationship is very beneficial at this point."

"You will win this Prudence Wars; I shall see to it that there will be an impossible bond. And you will wear that crown. By then, you will need to protect it for the whole term of your victory. There are very evil people who will come from the future, and from another dimension, in order to replace it with a fake replica. The crown is extremely important to us, and you need to fully understand this. You need to guard it as if your life depends on it."

"But why?"

"Because of the perpendicular star."

"I do not understand."

"You do not need to know all the reasons at this stage, but you will need to trust me."

"But, why?"

"Because of faith. This is what is called as faith. Trust is an important part of the process."

"Faith? If I need faith, then, how? How do you show faith?"

"That is belief. You will need to believe with all of your heart that everything will work out for the greater good, and you will find the innermost longings of your heart."

"My heart, you say . . . ?"

"Yes. Your heart is very much capable of love. I should really know. And right now, it is beating with a purpose. Not in a selfish or cunning way with ulterior motives, but in truth and in the light."

"I am capable to do all of that? How come?"

"Because of love. Love conquers everything. In fact, it is through love that set the whole universe into motion. It is love that was the main impetus of all created things. Nature answers to the power of love. Love is the fullness of living. Without it, life withers into decay. And in order to know this benevolent power, faith is a necessary ingredient to the substance of everything."

"Everything . . . Including the future?"

"Especially the future. Our fate is a predestined location, but it needed to be found. Faith will guide you there. It is the most important compass in the battle through life. Life is very much like the Prudence Wars, it attempts to answer an important question, and that is the question of existence."

"Really? And what would the answer to that Question be?"

"In the guidance of love, it is called purpose. The people who are lost in this battle lacks the substance of love, which is the major motivation that results into a noble purpose."
