Chapter Twelve: The Dark Firm's External Partnership
The Dark Masters have a very intricate way of governing themselves, with some noting that most of its affairs appeal to the quirkiness of the whole organization, and how they have evolved as a distinct race in this story involving complex moments of success. History books now exist as gloriously written evidence to attest to this fact.
The government centers on The Dark Firm, which is composed of the External Partnership and the Brokerage Firm, with the latter holding a complete regard to the provisions agreed to, as contained in the instrument executing the Treaty of Materials by making certain that its independence is guaranteed. The External Partnership, on the other, is the apex of the decision making process that decides most political affairs and diplomatic policy in the interest of the Dark Masters.
But it has been customary to refer to The Dark Firm in pertaining to the External Partnership. Most of its affairs also revolves in its principal participation in the Most Prudent Treaty Organization, an institution established by the Bilateral Accords contained in the same Treaty of Materials that allows the two archrivals to exchange views and host the many traditions related to the founding of the Prudence Wars.
The Bilateral Accords have generously referred to the crown of the Purple Junket as "an object of glory and honor, worthy of magnificence in its attestation of heroic virtues, the triumph of a daunting spirit, and a complete validation of strength, and outstanding skill in battle, worthy of emulation."
As a symbol of high honor, the coronation has been described by the many who have witnessed its annual ceremony to be the apex of extreme glory and noble achievement.
The Most Prudent Treaty Organization has eventually developed to become the parent body of a virtuous battle that is envied in its high stature, and the command that it elicit from the collective consciousness of those who decided to continue the everlasting legacy from which this competition was initially founded, is deeply evident in the passion accorded to the Games.
In retrospect, the Coronation of the Victor was totally seen today as a mere prize of a tightly contested Prudence Wars, but it was taken to secrecy the many reasons behind the rituals of the elaborate ceremony. It was claimed by legend that an Agreement was once written that a King of Shallows shall emerge from the victors of this Major Contest, "who shall restore the Magicians of this Land, and lead them to an era of exploration that shall appear in the later tasks for the salvation of souls."
However, there was no appointed Reader to keep this Agreement valid, and so it was later on decided that this legend is to be declared null and void "for coming into cognizance of the many as a myth derived from unreliable sources."
Also, they have no idea about the existence of these so-called "Magicians."
The Board of Potions and the Dark Firm have ratified a new document that contains a Joint Declaration that annuls all the provisions of this Agreement, and not to be recognized "for a lack of a Reader."
It seems harmless to defy the Mighty Playwrights for once, but this will prove to be a fatal mistake nobody has ever anticipated.
