Chapter Eight: The First Commission of the Twelve

Not much has been said, yet, about the political climate of the setting of this narration other than emphasizing misconduct and grossly reprehensible misdeameanors of the key characters, that, it lacks, in effect, the appeal in considering the many goodness to be found inside these pages. A more fluent novelist would refer to it simply as the "moral of the story," and in the simplicity of anything pertaining to weaker allusions to moral law will make it much unrecognizable, especially those related to the perception that can be processed by an average mind.

A creative pursuit or the inquiry of this curious school of thought (as well as the several faculties needed to educate the heart about the nature of substantial appreciation) will definitely refer to the purest form of the subject to be elucidated in esoteric terminology, and usually the essence is lost upon the path of the idea as it makes its way through the pattern of thought. It may die a natural death in this journey; not because that it was unworthy of notice, but the required knowledge was lacking and needing. Decoded language has simply lost the supermajority of the message's profound musings as it travels through this path.

The art and science of potionmaking follows this same order of value, in the sense that it was clear upon about the importance of careful observation, that the Culinary Potion's central effect on the several bonding instruments of its ingredients is equal to the sum of the total of its reactants. Without the key principles taken into account, the potions can never achieve the desired potency of its declared indications, among many others under the laws of duress of current experimentation.

The Potioneers have employed so many attempts to safeguard the trade secrets of their kind, to protect it from undue exploitation and complete disregard to the ancient skills and powers bestowed on them by their forefathers. The potions must command a certain form of respect, as it is an established discipline and a prestigious occupation based on the solid accounts of history. For many centuries, this high standard of value has been achieved as more and more stories have flourished, a recognition that has been agreed long before the statute of the Story Board has been enacted.

After all, the Story Board only directs the activities known as "the substantial gist," as it travels from the printed word to the sense of sight, after which it is decoded by the numerous neurons and then processed by the mind through involuntary cognition. Although often times, the cognitive ability of the person hinders the perfect conditions from which understanding was destined to be sought, acquired, processed, and then utilized by a commonality of the rational mind.

For this (lengthy) reason, the Board of Potions have decided a long time ago, that the executive power to govern their common resolve must be vested in a First Commission of the Twelve, mainly to prevent any attempt to diffuse the political power and weaken their governance, and centralize the source of strength and influence from within the stronger generation of their civilization.

The First Commission Presidents have, since then, been tricked to follow the "secrecy" rule in the majority of its dealings, mostly a decoy supplied to them by the Code of Taxonomy to further their villainous role in their own story, among many other ulterior motives. At exactly twelve noon after the election of the First Commission President, the Taxonomists communicate with him (or her) to falsely welcome him into the "Underworld" to become a convenient puppet to do what has been required, and the main goal of continuing to suppress magic as a mere illusion.

Today, this vicious cycle continues, undetected.
